Vimala Raman is an actress and former model from Australia who has performed in Indian films. She has appeared in films in Telugu, Malayalam, and Tamil. She was born and raised in Australia and made her acting debut in the Tamil film Poi in 2006. Raman, a well-known Bharatanatyam dancer and a B.Sc Information Systems graduate from the University of New South Wales in Sydney, was also crowned "Miss India Australia" in 2004.
